Special Session: Mathematical Models in Artificial Intelligence

Mathematical approaches to Artificial Intelligence have become mainstream in the past decades and nowadays. Statistical and probabilistic methods are routinely used in machine learning, computer vision, speech recognition, and others. There is a growing interest in exploiting this methodology to several aspects of Artificial Intelligence and modeling cognitive systems.

The underlying idea is to present recent models of Artificial Intelligence and discuss their applications as well as elaborate on linkages between the models and concepts of AI considered in this setting.
