Aims and Scope of the Special Issue

The metaphorical use of concepts, principles and mechanisms underlying biological systems is characteristic of human-designed computing inspired by biology. This type of computing comprises an array of areas including Evolutionary Algorithms, Neural Networks, Swarm Intelligence, Neurocomputing, Immunological Computing, Hybrid Methods, Intelligent Agents and Agent Theory, molecular computing and quantum computing. This special issue is soliciting papers on all aspects of Neuro-symbolic Algorithms and Bio-inspired Models and their applications.

This special issue provides an opportunity to present and discuss the latest theoretical advances and real-world applications in this research field.
